Business Model — What We Do

Sarafa.pk operates on a dual revenue model: (1) a free, ad-supported consumer platform for live gold/silver rates, jewelry browsing, and jeweler discovery; and (2) paid subscription-based API services for businesses, developers, websites, and mobile apps that need programmatic access to our market data. This model is transparently disclosed to payment gateway auditors on our Pricing and How it Works pages.

Consumer Platform (Free)

Live 24K/22K/21K/18K gold & silver rates per tola/gram for every major city, historical charts, Zakat & gold calculators, and city-wise market pages. No payment required.

Jewelry Marketplace

Verified jewelers list real jewelry products with clear images, descriptions, weight, purity, and prices in PKR. Consumers browse → contact seller via WhatsApp or view details → no checkout fee on Sarafa.pk for marketplace leads.

Paid API Services (Subscription)

Businesses subscribe to API plans (monthly/yearly, billed in PKR) to fetch city-wise gold/silver rates via X-API-Key. Delivery is digital (API key issued instantly after payment).

Business Operations

1Data collection & validation: Rates are sourced from primary Sarafa Bazars and validated via automated checks before publishing. Updates are reflected on the homepage, city pages, and via API.
2Shop & product onboarding: Jewelers register shops, undergo admin verification, then list products. Each product shows title, category, metal/purity, weight, images, and price in PKR with shop name and city — reviewed on Jewelry and Products.
3API provisioning: Users create an account → visit Developers → API Access → choose a plan on Pricing → pay via integrated payment gateway (cards, JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank — in PKR) → receive API key instantly.

Visit Gold Rate Pakistan, Jewelry or Products. Filter by city, category, metal, price (PKR). View clear images, specs, and price.

Step 2

Proceed to Checkout

For APIs: click Pricing → Subscribe, select plan (Starter / Business / Enterprise — all in PKR), review order summary in PKR, then Checkout.

Step 3

Make Payment

Pay securely with integrated payment gateway — cards, mobile wallets, or bank transfer — all charged in PKR. Amount, currency, and merchant name (Sarafa.pk) shown before confirmation.

Step 4

Confirmation & Delivery

Instant confirmation page + email receipt. For APIs: key issued immediately in dashboard (API Access). For jewelry: seller is notified; buyer receives order/lead confirmation. See Delivery Policy.

Demonstrate it yourself: Open Jewelry → pick any product (price shown in PKR) → see images/specs → click Shop/WhatsApp or View Details. For checkout demo: Pricing → Choose Plan → Checkout shows PKR total, payment methods, then confirmation.

Intended Use Case of Payment Gateway

The payment gateway on https://sarafa.pk is used solely to collect online payments for digital API subscription plans and, where enabled, jewelry order payments — both billed exclusively in PKR. No unrelated or high-risk activity is processed.

Who pays: Businesses, developers, websites, and mobile apps subscribing to Sarafa.pk market-data APIs; and retail customers paying for jewelry orders (if the shop has enabled checkout).
How it appears during payment: Customer selects a plan/product → sees price in PKR (e.g., PKR 4,999 / month) → clicks Pay → is shown order summary (item, quantity, PKR total, merchant: Sarafa.pk) → chooses gateway method → enters payment details on the secure gateway page → receives success/failure callback → is redirected to confirmation with transaction ID.
Post-payment: Confirmation email is sent to zubyrbutt@gmail.com domain; API key is auto-issued; jewelry lead/order is created; invoice/receipt available in account. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
Currency: All prices are displayed in PKR throughout the site (Rs. / PKR). No foreign currency is charged. If an international customer views the site, the PKR price is shown with a currency note.
